City Projects
I am working on a project that I am very excited about with the City of Hillsboro. I will be working with the local community to facilitate the establishment of a Landmark's Advisory Committee. My partner Amy McFeeters-Krone and I have extended our contract for ongoing preservation planning services with the City of Salem. We are keeping regular office hours there now, I go down to Salem every Tuesday morning. The work in Salem is tremendously interesting, and we are working on the Fairmount National Register District. I'm also working with the City of Albany to help them expand the boundary of their existing Monteith National Register District. Albany has a wonderful preservation program and a great staff and tremendous Commission, whose members have a great deal of experience with preservation in Oregon. Amy and I are also working with the City of West Linn to develop a National Register nomination for their Willamette neighborhood.
Individual Projects
An MPS for the Rice Brothers was recently recommended for approval by the State Advisory Committee, as well as a residence in the Irvington neighborhood which was constructed by the Rice Brothers.I recently completed a nomination for a commercial laundry building in Portland, I never thought I would learn so much about the history of laundry! This building was recently listed on the National Register. I also recently completed a nomination for the Failing Building in downtown Portland on the corner of SW 5th and SW Alder, which was recommended for listing by the State Advisory Committee. I am currently working on several projects for Parametrix as well, which include some survey work as well as writing and research in both Milwaukie and Vancouver.
